OWH MWT: Pink & Grey

Pink is color associated with girly stuff so I use it mostly on love cards.  I tried to make this card a more unisex card with the patterns and color ratios.  Papers by Carta Bella; sentiment by Studio G.

OWH Sketch #226

Wonderful sketch...my hat is off to Karma!  I tweaked the sketch a little for the creative process.  Base paper is A Paper Studio and the banners were from my scrap pile.  Sentiment and image is from Unity which I actually bought a long time ago; this sketch seemed a perfect fit.  After stamping the image I decided to cover the flowers with the banners and the butterflies with a heart for a more manly card.  I added the brads because my sentiment was a little too high.  I need to get back to hopping....

Revisiting OWH Sketch #57 for the 2014 MD Bloghop

Welcome to my blog!  I decided to try something a little different on my card by embossing paper and then using the negative of the anchor diecut (Paper Smooches) as my "image". Sentiment is from Hero Arts and the dp is from A Paper Studio.  Missing You and I Love You cards are the most requested, so I have been trying to increase the number of cards in those sections of my box.

The link to the start of the hop is HERE.

OWH MWT: Happy Birthday!

This week's challenge is a double; to create two birthday cards (masculine & feminine).  I decided to challenge myself to use the same image and same "sketch".  Papers are mostly from the scrap pile.

Cards in Envy: Winged Things

This image from Digi Darla is one of my favorite to use for "Wing" challenges which is the current theme at Cards in Envy.  Papers are from K&Co, MME, and MakinMemories.  Sentiment is not labeled.  Come join in the fun...

OWH Sketch #225

What a stunning sample card created by Marie, which led to this wonderful sketch!  I used one of the Hero Art's sentiments and scraps from my table to create my card.  Her sample card had so many wonderful details including the unique use of eyelets which really caught my eye.

OWH MWT Meets ATCAS

I decided to take inspiration from two challenges to create the card I am sharing today.  Most of the cards I make end up going to OWH so I want them all to be A2 "friendly".  I found some nameless two colored cardstock and cut one side shorter that the other so my banners could go "Off the Edge" the theme of the latest challenge at ATCAS.  The theme for OWH's MWT is Miss You card which is why I used this sentiment.  The banners were made using scraps I have not had the heart to throw away yet.  There is time to play at both challenges if you want to join in!

Flowers

It's not very often I will make a card that I can link up to 3 challenges. This card fits the themes for Cards in EnvyWords 2 Scrap By, and OWH MWT.  The flowers are from Stamps of Life, which I heat embossed and fussy cut;  there are three layers to each for some "flatish" dimension.  I just love how the white and orange pops.  The jar is by Unity and sentiment was with the flowers.  The green paper is Echo Park.

OWH Sketch #224

Good Morning!  Another great sketch thanks to Ann Merkins!  Ann's sample is listed below.  Nautical papers by A Paper Studio and map paper by Echo Park.  I decided to forgo the sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by.

OWH Sketch #223 & ODBD

I had actually started this card for the Cards in Envy April Showers Challenge but life got in the way so I missed the deadline.  Great sketch Carol!...kind of outside of my usual style which makes it a good challenge!  The sentiment is heat embossed which makes it eligible for this month's ODBD challenge.  I am doubling up to make up for my lack of time.  Image is a free one by Sliekje, and sentiment by CTMH.  The clouds were dies by Paper Smooches.  Thanks for stopping by!

Words 2 Scrap By: May Challenge

I feel so lucky to be a guest for this month's W2SB challenge.  The theme is "Bloom Where You're Planted".  This image by Sliekje seemed to fit the theme perfectly.  Papers are from my scrap pile.  I cannot wait to see what you all make!
