I love stickers! So I was super enthused about this weeks theme of OWH's MWT. All these stickers are by We R Memory Keepers. I want to use them all up while the mojo is hot!

OWH Sketch #139 & Stampers Best Giveaway Card
This morning, I saw Barb H's card and was inspired to think outside the box for today's card. Image is by Yolanda D who is now at http://slowdownsunday.org/. The coloring was hard as the image was small(so it is not perfect)...but I love the road sign shape. At the last minute, the perfect sentiment popped in my head and I used the Ford font to complete it.
This card is for the Stamper's Best Giveaway. I had the base already made from scraps...gotta get that table cleaned off. The fur on the suit is created by little dots of fabric paint that seems to work like Liquid Pearls. The refection from the flash shows how shiny it is. Sentiment made on computer as I really wanted a round one. Image is by Tiddly Inks...a freebie from awhile back.

OWH MWT Red & Green and an Extra
Sunday I worked on my WCMD cards (and they are done, yeah)...then started working my scraps laying on the table. Use them or lose them! This card uses some of those scraps. I did a little freakout because in the photo there is a "berry" that shows up that is part of the paper but looks like some long lost Liquid Pearl. I noticed that my brads also did a little moving around on me. I had punched holes...I should have pierced...another lesson learned! Quick card...image by Melonheadz already colored. Having the image and sentiment together can really make it easier.
This card was made using an image we were given to practice on in my Copics class so I am not sure who it is by. Really sweet image! I am giving it today to a coworker who is fighting breast cancer. Appropriate for this time of the year.

OWH Sketch #138 & SSC
My mojo is running low today...I think I am just tired from everything I have done already this weekend. I should just go put up my feet and watch football for awhile!
I did make two cards for this sketch as I was not satisfied with the first one. As I am typing this, I realize that I might need to go back and move the sentiment to the other side for a better balance. Sometimes looking at a picture of a "finished" card can really help you evaluate how it turned out.
The second card has more umph. I even heat embossed the sentiment with clear powder after stamping the sentiment in red. It qualifies for the Sweet Stampin' Challenge: Simply Sentimental. To play along go here: http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/simply-sentimental-use-as-focal-point.html

SSC: White on White
White on white (WoW) scares me. .there I said it. I decided to play in this week's Sweet Stampin' challenge to meet my fear head on.
I used a free digi from Carmen at http://beyondthefringecrafts.blogspot.com/. Thanks Carmen!
Christmas cards are due to OWH by 10/31/2012. This card will have a longer shelf life. To play along with the WoW challenge, please go here: http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/wow.html.

OWH MWT: Any Hero Card
I had this star digi saved from last year. I do not know who it is from...if you do, please let me know...I would love to give credit! It was saved last year, before I figured out that I needed to save all digis with the creator's name for my own sanity.
It was time to use it using paper piecing. The background was made on my computer as was the little round accent. I am not convinced that I like the brightness of the yellow, but it does add visual pop. I have enough to make five more cards. On the next one I am going to try a circle shape and see if that works better for the yellow. I tried to balance it out with the embroidery floss.

OWH Sketch #137
While I do have the OWH Paper Smooches stamp set, I decided that I wanted to make a winter themed card. I went to the Paper Smooches blog and downloaded the images and sentiment. I did use one of the stamps from the set to add more "snowflakes" to the diamond shape. Fun sketch as always...
