OWH Sketch #131

I had colored and paper pieced this image yesterday in my efforts to make a card for the Sweet Stampin Christmas in July Challenge that can be found here:  The OWH Sketch seemed  to be the perfect layering layout I need to finish the card.  The image I had found last year via Free Digital Stamps which may be located here:  I thought she was a cutie for sure!

OWH MWT: Cards of Encouragement

The first card is made from scraps and using a tag.  The image on the second card was super easy to color and can be found for a short time here: .  Uber cute!!!! The sentiment was added prior to printing.  I definitely need to make some more of these.

Quick fun card...

I found this tape awhile back in the Smash Book section and decided it was time to give it a whirl.  I used three strips, two punches, and one stamp.  The lime circle is popped up for a little more dimension.  Unfortunately, the bases still need to be lined, but that will be the only hard part!

OWH Sketch #130

I have to say that the bunting border from K&Company  was my inspiration and made this sketch easy peasy. Have a Happy Sunday!

SSCB: Monochromatic & For Matt

I decided to combine the Sweet Stampin Challenge found here: with a card for Matt to give to other children at his local Shriner's Hospital.  For more information please go to:  The card needs to be simple in terms of embellishments so it can be "little" kid friendly.  The image is by

Challenge Card
I am sure that at some time you misread the instructions for a card challenge.  This is the second time that it has happened to me.  I thought we were supposed to use a primary color and it's complimentary color.  I dove in and made the "mistake" card.  The image is from  I think I am going to save this one for my DH.

The real challenge is to use 2 or more complimentary) colors so I made the first card.  I am kinda liking the off center circle thing at the moment so I did that here.

OWH Sketch #129

Since this sketch is very similar to my own go-to-sketch for scraps I decided to take it up a notch by adding an image.

Luckily I had found this free image by Market Street Stamps that was available only for a limited time last month.   I pieced it together the hard way (insert sad face) that turned out reasonably well (insert happy face).  A good lesson learned.

Stay Tuned

Today's card was actually made for two challenges:

1.  Birdie Brown at where the image and sentiment can be found.

2. where the theme is to "use the colours of your Nation's flag" (red, white, and blue).

I printed out the image on a piece of metallic red paper and a sheet of white...a little fussy cutting and Copic coloring.  Warning...the inkjet ink will not dry on metallic so I had to carefully wipe it off after I placed all the pieces where they needed to go.  I created my own retro diecut  by starting with a circle and cutting out triangles.  The sentiment is popped out.  Three black rhinestones in the corner just to add a little pop.  Sweet image!

OWH MWT: Christmas

Good Morning!  This simple card gave me some trouble, probably because I was being too picky.  Stickers were used for the snowflakes.  I doubled them in spots and added Liquid Pearl.  The sentiment needed some bling as well so I added the silver punched shape.  Wah-lah!

CASE'ing Yolanda

My Card
I have been CASE'ing alot of card lately.  I decided it was time to CASE Yolanda's fabulous card!

I made a few of these.  I started with one tag and decided that two tags looked much better.  This would make a great card party card.  I was lucky to score the bases for cheap and they are the perfect color...the only thing is that they all need to be lined.  Oh well....

OWH Sketch #128

Great sketch and great samples by Seongsook!  I love that they are so diverse.

So I  continue to think Early-Bird Challenge...and came up with this.  I could really see this sketch with snowflakes as well.  Cannot wait to see everyone else's creations...

OWH ODBD July Challenge

My Card
For this challenge, I decided to CASE a card by Linda Anderson (Card 2).  The image is by Dilly Beans...this cutie was in a family...but I only needed one so I cut him out separately.

Dilly Beans has a new blog which can be found here:  A flower in a pot is their current freebie.  Looks like a keeper to plan  is to paper piece that one (I think).

OWH: Early-Bird Challenge

I just sent a small box of 100+ cards to Kris for the Duty, Honor, Cards Challenge before the 7/4/2012 deadline.  I did a little cleaning and found a few cards that needed to be finished, which I got done earlier this week

I made 6 of these cards with a few variations for the new challenge due 7/31/2012 entitled Early-Bird.  The image is by Pink Gem Designs.  It came as a colored and uncolored digi.  The sentiment is by me.

I was lucky about two weeks ago...went to a garage sale and got some winter paper for $6.00. This was some of it.  SCORE!!!

A little Liquid Pearl to add a touch of bling.

OWH MWT: Anniversay Card

Happy hot 4th of happy to be in where is is cool!  I decided it was time to CASE a card that was made by Cheryl at  I love her work!

When I saw her uber adorable card I fell in love with everything about it.  Isn't it so sweet...particularly love all those xoxos.

The bear is a free digi image from  I changed up the buttons with brads to make it more mail friendly.  There were two things that were challenging to me, the first was the use of pink and the second was the tilt of the image (I always tilt to the other way).  So good to work outside my comfort zone.

Anyway...I need to make start a second card...My sis will be celebrating hers soon.

New Card
I enjoyed the OWH/OSH Blog Hop...lots of great inspiration.  If you want to check it out go here:  Since I did not see a OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge today, I decided to create my own, and CASE a card that I made at a class about 2 years ago.  It helped that I ran across the perfect sentiment stamp for the CASE at Michael's recently.   In addition, I created my own dp by using a free image that can be found here:  Alison also has a sentiment that is perfect for the snail image.  Thanks Alison!

CASE card
I am trying to make more "multiples" of cards; they all may not be exactly alike but they are pretty close. This card will work well for that!
