OWH Sketch #192

I had to dig around for some inspiration to get this card started.  I decided upon this vellum quote from K&Co.  Clear photo corner and a little glue to tack the quote down.  Most of the papers are from MME.  Fun sketch courtesy of Jan...thank you Jan!

Addicted to CAS #23

I started with my sentiment stamp (Inkadinkado) for the Addicted to CAS #23 challenge; theme is fall.  I had another fall stamp set (maker unknown) with the leaves right at my fingertips as my table is quite messy.  A little coloring, fussy cutting and dimensional tape and I was almost done.  It is always amazing how many attempts it takes me to create a CAS card.  A square piece of cardstock was used as a template for the corner lines.  That is all for now!

Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog: Glamour & Glitz

When I saw the theme for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog, I asked myself could I make a masculing card to fit the theme of Glitz & Glamour.  Back in the day (and even today) this car was (is) all that.  I used the glitziest manly papers I could find.  Sorry I do not know who made this line as it was purchased at a garage sale.  The ribbon was in one of the swap kits I received.  Image was a freebie from TLC. 

OWH September ODBD Challenge & Cards in Envy

I have a confession...I totally forgot to make a card for last month's ODBD challenge. I have had so little crafting time lately...and I am trying to sneak in some extra time when I can.  Papers are by Cosmo Cricket and I used OWH Sketch #191 as my starting point.  I am also going to link this card up to Cards in Envy Retro Challenge.  If you want to join them just click the link!

OWH Sketch #191

This was a quick card and super fun sketch thanks to Kaylee!  I was lucky enough to purchase a mini Authentique paper pad secondhand this spring.  I combined some of that with the wild floral which is from K&Co.  The sentiment is actually stamped in black but ends up looking like a dark brown after being heat embossed.  It is one of the dollar ones from Michaels that I had not inked up until today and seems perfect for OWH cards.  I used my brown Copics to ink the edge of the polka dot paper, which adds a little umpf.  It is a gorgeous day here...make it a great one wherever you are!

 

Addicted to CAS

I was going to make a bandaid out of washi tape but I saw this piece of scrap paper and decided it would be perfect.  The rest of the card is computer generated.  I was going for a more manly "Get Well" card which is the theme at Addicted to CAS.  I have to confess that the bandaid was super easy to make.  Thanks for stopping by!   

Quick note. This card also ties in perfectly with the theme for Paula's OWH Boot Camp of white space...so I will be linking this card there as well.

OWH Sketch #190

Carol 's cards are truly an inspiration to me so I am happy to see one of her layouts being featured this week.  WTG Carol!  When I started my card this morning I had not had any coffee yet so I accidently debossed my base paper...ooops.  I decided to embrace my "mistake" and use it anyway.  Most of the paper is by Bo Bunny, image is a sticker by K&Co and burlap ribbon was purchased at Michael's.  I added a light coat of glue to the top of the ribbon to stablize it.

Addicted to CAS meets Cards in Envy

I decided to try to make a card that would work for both Addicted to CAS: Music and Cards in Envy: Manly.  It appears to be a simple card that features ink, Copics, stickers, fussycutting, and a computer generated sentiment.  My husband would love this card if I give it to him rather than seding in my box to OWH.  Hmmmm, what to do?  Not sure of the answer yet.

Birdie Brown: September

Another great free digi from Birdie Brown for the September challenge.  I decided that I needed to add some zip to the B to match those fun pumpkins with striped paper from Recollections.  The bottom dp was from the same pad.  I added some ink for extra distressing.   Cannot wait to see how others are inspired!

OWH Labor Day VCMP

What a fun event to celebrate a 3 day weekend for most people.  Please forgive the fact my cards are not in order...I was having a few tech difficulties...and gave up. 

I want to give a shoutout to Birds Cards for the free heart world and matching setiment on #4.  Also a special thanks to Sandi Freeman on the fall swap kit that I used to make #7.  Special thanks to Allison & the hostesses for a fun time.   A great way to start off the month of September!
