OWH MWT: Cute Characters

Way to go Hambo Stamps! Thank you for your support of OWH!!! If you are interested here is the link: http://hambostamps.com/digishop/hop-art-designs/

Unfortunately those cute characters that they have listed as part of the fundraiser are beyond my coloring capacity at this time. I decided to go with stickers that I accidentally ran across in my stash. At first I thought I had created a card disaster...but I added the three leaves to the images (I got the idea from Sandy's before and after FB cards) and it seemed to work. I am going to work on using up the rest of the stickers. Have a great day!

OWH Sketch #114

I have to say that I normally do not love sketches with the square rotated...but this one was a breeze. I love making "guy" cards! The background papers are from the Paper Loft...these cannot be beat for outdoorsy themed papers. The eagle I found using the Free Digital Stamps blog and can be found here (but it is no longer free): https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDSpfJ8lDPnFs9BHdUEV5FFX7FBnYJIPXOgEy-Li7XknXhgwf3S3Wj7cgIZOTlnFWZKNfLBzuSMxHNxvvQJBF_MnGksXkwIOLveXbRmg8oOgDESkXG2jO_kKiCT2Zh6jhNZ7RDqzImq6Nr/s1600/Eagle+head+w.jpg and the sentiment was fussy cut out of a digi that can be found on Paula's blog "Handmade By Paula" which can be found here: http://paulaposts.blogspot.com/2011/04/dad-cards-free-digi.html. I definitely wanted a more unique sentiment and this was perfect! Thanks Paula!!!

Turtle-ly Cool

My 1st Copics class was last week and the teacher suggested that we make a card after we got our image colored that she had stamped for us. I decided to make this card for the OWH MWT Challenge of Green & Yellow which can be found here: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/2012/03/color-challenge.html and the Sweet Stampin' Challenge of Use lots of Green which can be found here: http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/use-lots-of-green.html. I did color the paper doily (super quick) and the twine (using two colors) with the copics. The puny saying was made using my computer.

If you received a strange email from me, I did not send it...I was hacked. I am hoping that my password change will fix it. I have got my fingers crossed!

OWH Sketch #113

When Julie asked me if I would make a sample card or two for a Sunday Sketch, I decided to make one for a guy and one for a gal. I started with the guy card which uses a image from http://freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com. I left the sentiment off because I could not decide which one to use. The second card I stamped the flowers and colored them in. Both of these cards were in my box for the Mother's Day challenge. I am hoping at least one of these inspires some really great cards. I will be stopping by to check everyone's cards out!

OWH MWT Miss You

This graphic paper was calling to me for some reason this morning. In the middle of the creative process I noticed that this little chipboard octopus was a good match...that's what I get when I don't get things put away. The sentiment is computer generated. I was able to get new blades for my circle cutter last night (way past due) so I got to use it again!

I was fooling around on the computer trying to design a simple Mother's Day sentiment that would work with my round punch. I came up with this one...it will give all the cards a little more shelf life since it technically does not say Happy Mother's Day...This could be used for a birthday. If I ever figure out how to save it so other's can use it I will share. I consider these all scrap cards since they were pieces laying around from other cards on my table. Use them or lose them! The first one I pieced together the base after distressing all the edges. The second I used Nancy Keller's idea of coloring those little sticky plastic circles (forgot what they are called). I finally have my boxed packed and ready to mail! Yay!!!

OWH Sketch #112

I was inspired by the colors used in Marsha's sample. I also wanted to sneak in another Mother's Day card for the challenge. I re-purposed Christmas chipboard for the base of my sentiment and added a little bling for the final touch. Happy Sunday!

OWH MWT Mother's Day

Card 1: Is a scrap card from all the extra pieces I had left over from the paper swap. Card 2: Uses a sentiment that I made up in MSPublisher. Card 3: I found a pad of adhesive scrapbook paper at a local store and decided to make a few "sunburst" cards. Those pads work perfect and plus I could do all that extra cutting away from home. I used Paula's digi on most of these. This was my favorite!

OWH Sketch #111

I am focusing on Mother's Day cards for the challenge. Most of my cards have flowers so I wanted to do something a little different. A fun set of papers for sure!

March ODBD Challenge

I had a little free time so I decided to make a card for the ODBD Challenge before Sketch #111. I had received some embossed paper from my secret valentine. I have to say I was a little hesitant to use it because of the bright color...not my usual choice of color...but I really loved the embossing. The challenge is a TIC-TAC-TOE: Three in a Row but I used everything except Piercing, Die Cut, and Fun fold.

The digi is by Handmade By Paula...What a wonderful ingenious digi! Thanks Paula! You can find it here: http://paulaposts.blogspot.com/2012/02/love-you-mom-free-digi.html.

OWH MWT: Digis

I had saved this Bugaboo Digi (he used to be free) awhile back. He doesn't look happy but I think that is because he got up too early! He sure is cute!
