OWH CAS Blogskip

A CAS card maker I am not, but I am always up for a good challenge! This card is based upon a birthday card by Christina Kowalczyk featured in March 2011 Cards magazine, page 111. I have been wanting to case it for quite some time.

I was tickled pink to realize that my acrylic base is exactly the width of an A2 card so it made lining up the stamp on the card base easy peasy. The hardest part of this card was tying the bows, oops did I just say that "out loud"?

OTWC Challenge #58

I have this coral/gold paper that came as part of a paper pack that I do not really like so I have been challenging myself to utilize it in this challenge. I tend to associate stars with masculine cards, but they are really versatile. This card will go into my OWH box.

OWH MWT Inchies

My best investment ever was my inchie punch. It is my all time fav punch and so versatile. I had made this card earlier this week using some K&Company Americana paper. The rest is from my scrap pile. No, the pile does not appear to be getting any smaller...

OWH Sketch # 80 Catch-up

I am finally caught up on the sketch challenges! I set a goal at sketch #54 to make a card this year using each one of the sketches. I may decide at some point to start at the first sketch...

This card ended up being a little too busy for my tastes, but I love the colors and the retro feel. Got to keep on the Christmas theme...the deadline will be here before we know it!

Two OWH cards

I finished my Thinking of You card. I used my sewing machine to punch the holes for some hand stitching. I thought it needed a little something in addition to the knots I made for the berries. It is not perfect but it is "homey" with a wintertime feel.

My card for Sketch Challenge #82 drained all my mojo. When I thought I had it done I discovered that it was upside down on the card base! OMG! and this is suppose to help me unwind? This one was a tussle all the way through even though I love love love this sketch and plan to try another card in the near future. I do need to set aside some time to reorganize my supplies which is not as fun or relaxing.

Oh and HaPpY bIrThDaY JuLiE! My birthday is this week also!

OWH MWT Honoring Ciara

Congrats to Ciara for becoming a soldier! In her honor I chose this cute free digi from Slieje for my card. The link to this digi is http://sliekje.blogspot.com/2010/07/puppy-mail.html. If you like this digi you should check it out! I am still trying to use only scraps for most of my cards and did make the sentiment using the computer.

OWH Sketch Challenge #81

I have missed the blogging world! Been super busy as one of a team of family members taking care of my mother as she recovers from a broken hip. It has been quite a journey.

I kinda skipped sketch #80 although I actually started it and will need to go back to finish. The plaid dp is from K& Company...the rest is scraps.
