OWH Sketch #107 and CAS Skip Cards

Good Morning! I do not have too much to say about my sketch card...it was a fun sketch...uber easy. I do like making general cards that can be used for special holidays. I like the idea of a longer shelf life...sometimes though, based upon comments I read I think they just fly off the shelf.

I loved all the inspiration at the skip! What a great idea when the rest of us just really want to be on the ship! I was enamoured with Dixie's card because I am really into zigzags right now. I did use actual rickrack that was in a packet together (made thing alot easier). The rickrack did not match the best (so there are white spots showing through) but I think the texture adds a little something. I would like to try this again in patriotic colors and wider rickrack.

  2. Two really nice cards! the placement of the flower in the first is perfect and the pink frames the center panel so nicely. I bet the texture of the ric rac really does add interest when you see it in person and I like that there are some peeks of white showing too.

  3. So happy that I clicked in to get a closer look at your mom card. I LOVE cards without stamping because even though I stamp now I started with stickers and paper and all the other scrapbooking goodies I could find. Your mom card really uses fun paper combos.

  4. great job on your sketch card and your CAS card. I think I have given away all my rickrack. I do started just using paper on my cards and now do stamping also. Thanks for supporting OWH

  5. Linda, Your Mom card is just beautiful. Love the papers you went with and that lace ribbon added such a touch of class to the overall card.
Someone will be happy. It's so funny that you CASED Dixie's card. I found that to be one of my favorites in the skip and I already started punching out some rix rac this morning to case it myself. Some company stoped by earlier so I didn't get to finish my card, but in thinking about it, I think I'll make several cards instead of just one. GMTA I guess. LOL Have a great day.
