The themes for Sweet Stampin' Challenge (cute & cuddly)and Cards In Envy (stitching) provided the inspiration for this card. I have a friend who will be getting this as her late birthday card. Papers by DCWV and K&Co. Diecut by MME and image is by Bugaboo Stamps. Sentiment is computer generated.

OWH Sketch #178
This week's sketch is courtesy of Kristie M...and it is a fun one. I am feeling patriotic with the Fourth coming soon and thought it was time to break out a new OWH Hero Arts stamp. My card has only one patterned paper on it which I think is a record. I spent more time on the ribbon that the whole rest of the card...whewww. The sentiment is heat embossed as I think that red looks best that way. Have a great Sunday...

You Rock!!!
This month's freebie challenge at Birdie Brown is to use this super fun image and sentiment. I had so much fun coloring him. To go with that fun I offset the gold paper and added a punched border on the side. This will also be linked up to the Addicted to CAS. Their challenge theme is teenager. A star brad was added to the sentiment for a little extra fun.

OWH June ODBD: Water
I felt a little guilty that I have been so busy that I forgot about the ODBD challenge. I carved out a little time tonight to get this card made. Image is by Meljens Designs and I have had it for quite awhile. Besides coloring the hardest part was figuring out how to cut out the star corner...

OWH MWT: Card 4 Kids
I pulled three cards out of my mailing box. All use journaling cards, the first is made with Cosmo Cricket. K&Co chipboard and scrap papers. The other two are Echo Park with some great detail already printed on and then I added some stickers. I was going for boy/tween themed cards and hope that these are not sneezers...

OWH Sketch #177
Great sketch Cora Jean! I had this cute free image saved from Angelique at http://sliekje.blogspot.com/. Her digi included raindrops but I had a coloring issue so I fussy cut the image out and used this great paper from MakingMemories with heat embossed raindrops on it...sweet! I adjusted the sketch to include the twine as an accent instead of brads...my image was just a wee bit big and it looked too crowded on that side of the card. Thanks for looking!

Sorry...
Sorry about blowing up blogger. I would click the publish button and blogger told me it failed to publish. I am hoping that I have the tech problem fixed...fingers crossed.
OWH MWT: Things with Wings
A co-worker's last day was yesterday. I decided to use the MWT theme to create a card for her. I used one of the scrap bases I made Memorial Day weekend. To create my bases I used copy paper to glue the pieces together and then trimmed to 3.75" x 5". The image is by CTMH. I am also going to link this up to this month's bootcamp: Variety is the Spice of Life.

OWH Sketch #176
Happy Sunday! Another wonderful sketch that was created based upon a great card by Yvonne. Unfortunately, my need to use my new Paper Smooches dies/sentiments (thanks to the MD Blog Hop) and some Prima "Hello Space Boy" paper made it hard for me to follow the sketch exactly. Because I did not think my first card was my best attempt I made a second. Let me know which you like better and why. Thanks!

OWH MWT: Any Hero Cards
This is a card that has long since been sent to OWH but never posted (it has been in draft forever). To post or delete was the big decision of the day...
This is a scrap card using one of those Simple Stories journaling cards. Yes, it would be much easier, less mess and more time efficient to just throw the scraps away. The one thing I have learned is you always have scraps unless you learn to use them or lose them. Making it fun to use them can be a stress reliever.
I really wanted to wrap twine around the middle rectangle as I have seen some really great cards using this technique and think..."why did I not do that".

OWH MWT: Travel & Water
Wowzers...where does the time go? I am soooo behind on OWH challenges. I did manage to get two MWT cards made this week: Travel and Water.
The plane on the first card is a sticker from EP and uses scraps. I am going to link it up to Paula's Bootcamp challenge: Variety. The clouds are different colors/prints/shapes. I also used the rule of odds.
My second card uses a digital image from and unknown (sad face) source found via the Free Digital Stamps blog. I did use Glossy Accents for the air bubbles.

OWH Sketch 175: In memory of Jane
I was especially lucky this weekend with my secondhand purchases. I was able to score a slightly used OWH HA clear stamp set for a bargain price as well as two punches, some paper (see the first card), other stamps, and ribbon. I love scrapbooking rummage sales!
The first card features Doodlebug Design paper.
I decided to make a second card that was more Jane's style since this was her sketch.. I realized that I could round the corners and make a little flower. Sentiment is CTMH.
