Growing up on a small family farm in Iowa left me with fond memories of all seasons. They say if you are tired of the weather in Iowa, give it a day and it will change. The theme for this month's Words 2 Scrap By just reminded me of those days. I still had a swap kit made by Ann M that needed to be used and worked perfectly for the theme. Everything was in the kit except the windmill image by Red Rubber Stamps. I really wanted to add it so I decided to try stamping it on the burlap...and it worked!
Hi, Linda.
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to see you had linked up a card for this month's W2SB challenge -- and what a wonderful card! You've done a great job with design, texture, and dimension. And, I love how you stamped directly on the burlap!
Thanks so much for playing along with our September challenge at Words 2 Scrap By. :)
This so reminds me of my Grandpa's farm in South Dakota! Beautiful card and I have to try that burlap stamping :-) Thanks for entering the Words 2 Scrap By Challenge!
ReplyDeleteIt's a stroke of genius to stamp on burlap! WOW! This turned out sooo cool, and I love the chickenwire fence background too!
ReplyDeleteLove the stamping on burlap - I would never have thought of that! Love how your background and images play off one another! Thanks for playing along with us at Words2ScrapBy.blogspot.com!
