The new free image at 2 Cute Ink seemed perfect for the latest challenge at Words 2 Scrap By: In Like a Lion. Out Like a Lamb. Even through winter seems to be dragging on and Spring seems so far off' I decided to make an "Out Like a Lamb"/Spring card. I have been totally enamored with watercolor backgrounds made from distress inks. The image is colored with Copics and then was fussy cut the main body out. I printed the image on the watercolor background and glued the colored image on top of the base; that way cutting the antennae and legs was not an issue. The sentiment is from CTMH.
Your background is beautiful and it goes so well with your darling image. Love the little sequins. Real fun, pretty card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet and fun image, and your coloring (as well as the background you created) all look amazing!

ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! Love that watercolor background. And, thanks for sharing the tip to stamp the image on the paper first and then place the colored image over it. Now, why didn't I think of that?!
