OWH MWT: Color Challenge

Challenge Card
I am sure that at some time you misread the instructions for a card challenge.  This is the second time that it has happened to me.  I thought we were supposed to use a primary color and it's complimentary color.  I dove in and made the "mistake" card.  The image is from http://freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com.  I think I am going to save this one for my DH.

The real challenge is to use 2 or more complimentary) colors so I made the first card.  I am kinda liking the off center circle thing at the moment so I did that here.

OWH Sketch #129

Since this sketch is very similar to my own go-to-sketch for scraps I decided to take it up a notch by adding an image.

Luckily I had found this free image by Market Street Stamps that was available only for a limited time last month.   I pieced it together the hard way (insert sad face) that turned out reasonably well (insert happy face).  A good lesson learned.

Stay Tuned

Today's card was actually made for two challenges:

1.  Birdie Brown at http://birdiebrown.blogspot.com/2012/07/july-freebies-and-challenge.html where the image and sentiment can be found.

2.  http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/flags-are-out-at-sweet-stampin.html where the theme is to "use the colours of your Nation's flag" (red, white, and blue).

I printed out the image on a piece of metallic red paper and a sheet of white...a little fussy cutting and Copic coloring.  Warning...the inkjet ink will not dry on metallic so I had to carefully wipe it off after I placed all the pieces where they needed to go.  I created my own retro diecut  by starting with a circle and cutting out triangles.  The sentiment is popped out.  Three black rhinestones in the corner just to add a little pop.  Sweet image!

OWH MWT: Christmas

Good Morning!  This simple card gave me some trouble, probably because I was being too picky.  Stickers were used for the snowflakes.  I doubled them in spots and added Liquid Pearl.  The sentiment needed some bling as well so I added the silver punched shape.  Wah-lah!

CASE'ing Yolanda

My Card
I have been CASE'ing alot of card lately.  I decided it was time to CASE Yolanda's fabulous card!

I made a few of these.  I started with one tag and decided that two tags looked much better.  This would make a great card party card.  I was lucky to score the bases for cheap and they are the perfect color...the only thing is that they all need to be lined.  Oh well....

OWH Sketch #128

Great sketch and great samples by Seongsook!  I love that they are so diverse.

So I  continue to think Early-Bird Challenge...and came up with this.  I could really see this sketch with snowflakes as well.  Cannot wait to see everyone else's creations...

OWH ODBD July Challenge

My Card
For this challenge, I decided to CASE a card by Linda Anderson (Card 2).  The image is by Dilly Beans...this cutie was in a family...but I only needed one so I cut him out separately.

Dilly Beans has a new blog which can be found here:  http://www.dillybeansinspirations.blogspot.com/.  A flower in a pot is their current freebie.  Looks like a keeper to me...my plan  is to paper piece that one (I think).
