I did not get anything crafty for Christmas, only because I did not ask for anything. My DH would have bought me anything I wanted. He never begrudges any time I spend crafting or any of the shopping trips, or supplies; that is a gift that keeps on giving all year long! Things have been a little crazy on all fronts so I am sharing two cards I made recently from scraps to help me catch my breath. I really love that Basic Grey paper that is on the second card!
Linda, Both cards are very nice and I love the colors. You know I found myself saying hat a lot lately (love the colors), but it is true. since I've started scrapping and cardmaking, I seem to appreciate so many different color combos that I would have never thought of before. I'm glad I have albe to broaden my horizons. Adore the sentiment on your first card also. Isn't it nice to have such generous husbands? My hubby encourages me to get things for the craft room and has even offred to put an addition onto the house so I'd have more room. He was the one who ordered the Cricut for me. He saw it on a late night commercial and ordered it. Well I just thank my lucky stars for him every signle day as I'm sure you do also. We are lucky ladies. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, Linda. The distressing you did to the papers adds a lot to the design, I think. I also like how you used text paper on the first card- it's a nice touch of something interesting!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, I think your hubby just gives you Christmas every day and that is what really counts! Love your cards and I agree with Donna about saying love a lot, but, like her, I find so much inspiration and ideas from visiting blogs and making cards that I am seeing many things differently and I am wanting to try different ideas. Both of your cards are examples of styles I haven't attempted yet, but greatly admire when I see them done.

Great cards and I love the papers you used! Give your DH a great big hug from all of us crafters! He deserves it :) I too have a hubby who never raises an eyebrow when I buy crafting things! life is good :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband is the same way, the best gift I ever got was my paper cutter from him, love it!!! Your cards are wonderful, I see why you love the papers. Hugs, Karen
ReplyDeleteThese are both very nice, I can't pick a favorite of the two! You did a terrific job of combining papers and yet keeping everything very clean and crisp. Great work!
