Whewww! What a week! I almost freaked out because I could not get Blogger to load after I downloaded some recommended software because of the new Blogger. I had to uninstall that, install a newer version of Explorer, and now I am back in business. Sounds easy, but not when you have dial-up. If my DH cannot have cable, then I cannot have high speed internet. I generally do not mind it except when downloading software.
Two cards to share today. The first is using some brand new to me stuff from Basic Grey that I got from Crafty Steals. I have been making scrap paper cards, so I made the second from my scrap pile. The paper was double-sided so that helped!

OWH Scraps and MWT
Hello! Well this is my first post using the new blogger. My browser is no longer supported by Blogger so it is kinda interesting.
The first three cards are scrap cards even though I have not wrangled a single piece of scrap yet. The first two were posted as examples on the OWH blog and the third is my own take on using scraps. Scrap cards always look better matted. I do have at least 4 separate unsorted piles of scrap. The 4th card is for the Mid Week Throwdown: Summer...but it is also a scrap card.
The 5th is also a scrap card (with the flowered paper), and using a cheap foam stamp. Yes I can hear the gasps of horror...but she was just too darn cute to resist and at 69 cents she was a great price. I stamped her and then outlined the stamp to add definition...colored in her feet...and added the googly eyes (my first time using). This may not end up going to OWH because I do have a pig fanatic in my family.

OWH Sketch #118
The initial plan was to make a stamped train card...and it ended up a sticker airplane card. While I was looking for the train stamp, up popped these cute stickers I had bought...perfect for a little boy card. The reflective nature of the stickers makes getting a better picture nearly impossible so I will just tell you that the arrow says UP UP UP UP UP. Two of the clouds are popped up to add some dimension. I need to get my cards ready to be mailed...that is the hard part!

Muscle Card Challenge
This is another CASE card of sorts. I was super inspired by all the ties featured in the new Papercrafts magazine. My father is a farmer semi-retired so he never had to wear a tie to work. Ties are pieces of art that fascinate me.
I designed the "Dad" on the computer and colored it in. The tie pattern I played around with using my paper cutter, scissors, and ink. I think it turned out pretty darn well. I got 3 more bases to finish so back to work I go!

OWH MWT: Brown & Turquoise
I wanted to make of few more dad cards so I went back to using this CAS layout using some of my new MME paper. I treated myself to 2 new mini pads for doing such a great job of using 95% of my scraps that were on my work table into usable card fronts. They do need sentiments, images or embellishments to finish but what a great start! I want to mail my Muscle Challenge cards out to Kris on Monday.

OWH #117
Great sketch! I started with the paper (which was part of a pack) as my inspiration. I decided to create my own focal point using my computer and the car image which was designed by Anji's Antics (http://anjisantics.blogspot.com/2012/03/one-for-money-two-for-show.html) that I found by visiting the Free Digital Stamps blog. I could not resist adding the brad because it just seemed to be perfect for this card. Yes...this card is for the Muscle Card Challenge!

OWH: Make Em Laugh...
Or at least smile broadly! What a great idea for a BlogHop! I do like puny cards and occasionally have to make up my own sentiments on the computer. For this card I used a stamp that had the pun and image together. I added the celebrate and decided to make it a "balloon" of sorts to step it up. I love the bright colors which seems to add some zip.

Good Morning! I decided to share a CASE card with you that is for the Muscle Card Challenge (due April 30th to OWH). This card was featured in the May/June 2012 Papercrafts magazine. There are some really awesome Father cards featured.
I may add buttons to mine before they get sent...I have not decided. Thanks Smitha Katti/Papercrafts for the inspiration!

OWH ODBD & MWT
One of these days I will dig out my stamps again. First I need to do a major organization day in the very near future in which all I do is organize. My Big Shot was delivered this week and I have not had any time to play with it yet. The bunny card I will be linking up to the Thinking of You challenge and the other is for the ODBD challenge.
