OWH Sketch #138 & SSC

My mojo is running low today...I think I am just tired from everything I have done already this weekend.  I should just go put up my feet and watch football for awhile!

I did make two cards for this sketch as I was not satisfied with the first one.  As I am typing this, I realize that I might need to go back and move the sentiment to the other side for a better balance.  Sometimes looking at a picture of a "finished" card can really help you evaluate how it turned out.

The second card has more umph.  I even heat embossed the sentiment with clear powder after stamping the sentiment in red.  It qualifies for the Sweet Stampin' Challenge:  Simply Sentimental.  To play along go here:  http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/simply-sentimental-use-as-focal-point.html

  2. Two great cards for this sketch, but I have to say I really love the font for the sentiment on your second card. Hope your team won or is winning. I haven't even turned on a game or a race today.

  4. Two great cards, but I too favor the 2nd one. I love how you wove the floss through the diecut!

  5. How great that you would post both of these Linda. They are both nice but I agree that the second card has a 'little something extra'... the way the strong contrast of the white die cut frame draws your eye right to the sentiment and the detail of the ribbon wove around it and the strong black vertical stripes framing all again... great work!
