OWH WCMD Blog Hop

Welcome!  The theme of my post is "use your punches"...along with the theme of the hop:  Wintery cards from OWH Sketches.

I have become enamoured with my new-to-me diamond punch that I decided I had to have because of a card by Mary Anne K posted on Sketch #136.  I saw that card and knew that this was a punch that had lots of potential.  I played around with it and ended up with this poinsettia card.  I did cut off the tips on one side of the diamond with a circle punch to reduce bulk.

The second card I cannot take credit for the Christmas Tree idea.  I had saved a picture of a holiday picture frame with no creator details before I knew how important that is.  The garland is made using a round scallop punch.  If you have any questions about either card, let me know.  Happy hopping!

  9. I really dig the way you used the diamond punch. Since everyone will be rushing out to buy the punch now :) I think I will try it with my Cricut. That card is gorgeous and the colors are so rich and cozy. Feels like the holidays. And thanks for the tip about reducing bulk. I am always forgetting little ways to do that.
