SSC & OWH Cards

My first card was made for this week's "Anything Goes" theme at Sweet Stampin Challenge.  This uber adorable image can be found for free at Dilly Beans.  She was fun and challenging to color. Come play along!

For both cards in this post, I used paper from American Crafts that I found at Target (sorry...after I tore all the sheets out, I got rid of the cover)  I am trying the Kristie M 6x6 Paper pad tutorial that can be found at Operation Write Home.
This card was finished before I went to work this am.  Here I am linking it up and noticed that another card features this exact image from K&Company.  Great minds think alike!!!  I have been working on using these last few images up since Friday; three were left and worked well for the sketch.  I also used two eyelets to add some white floss and white fabric paint (fake liquid pearls).  I tweaked the sketch a little as I did not have a big enough print for the base...I always forget that one can do that.  Two more images to go...

  3. I love all your tweaking, but just call it your creative license! lol. Those stars on my card were embellies that were a long row. I only placed the ones at the point with a tweezers. I don't have the patience for more than that!

  5. Lovely card - I was thinking the same thing when I saw the two birds side by side lol. Both you ladies made great card with them - I love seeing stamps used in different ways with different colors. Helps the mojo :) I also really like the pearls in the opposite corners; great accent! TFS

  6. Hi Linda ! How fun that we both used the same image and that we would happen to post our links side by side!! :) I like the colors that you used and the contrast they create for the image. Very creative solution and nice variation using a different color at the bottom.
