Okay...I give in to Blogger tech difficulties; just happy I got my pictures loaded. My post will be a little wonky...but it is all good. I am a mission to use scraps again...did you see Jan's post on Triple Time Cards? That post started "the using or purging" for real. I am hoping to link up some of those later. For my sketch card I used Paula's compass digi that goes to well with the sentiment by SU that is one of my favs. All the papers were used from "the heap". Great sketch Bobbi! Lucky you to be chosen first! Well Done Marlene on your first post!
This second card is for the January 2013 ODBD Challenge: Dry Embossing. This is one of two cards I made for my uncle's Card Shower. Embossing folder by Spellbinders. I used brads in a circle similar to one I saw in my journey through the OWH 2012 Top Ten Linky Party. Sorry, I cannot remember who I CASEd, but it was a brilliant idea. Thanks!!! The numbers are stickers and sentiment by Hero Arts. This is the card I think my mom will pick just because it says 80.
Great job on both!
ReplyDeleteNice OWH card! It would be a great masculine card. I like the extra star embellishments and the soft muted colors. You really tied everything together nicely!
ReplyDeleteI love both your cars, they both manly and would loved by anyone - especially your uncle!
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the digis! TFS!
ReplyDeleteNice! I love both of those cards! The stars and compass are very cool. That is a really neat sentiment!
ReplyDeleteLinda,
ReplyDeleteNice cards and a great way to use your embossing folders
Marianne
Linda, two wonderful cards. I adore the sentiment on your first card and the brads on your second card is a great idea. I know your cased it and now I may case it. Let's keep it going. LOL
ReplyDeleteLinda, both your cards are fantastic and masculine. In the sketch card I love the compass and sentiment. In the ODBD card I love how you used stickers for the age and adding the brads. Hmmm... I might have to CASE that too. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeletePS... thanks for the encouragement on my first sketch post. I really appreciate it!
Both cards are gorgeous! Love the sentiment on the first card.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda! I just love the vintage Americana feel of your first card--the colors and design are beautiful. The beautiful sentiment is perfect for a hero to send home, which must feel like a "beacon true" when you're deployed far from home!
