Happy Sunday! Another wonderful sketch that was created based upon a great card by Yvonne. Unfortunately, my need to use my new Paper Smooches dies/sentiments (thanks to the MD Blog Hop) and some Prima "Hello Space Boy" paper made it hard for me to follow the sketch exactly. Because I did not think my first card was my best attempt I made a second. Let me know which you like better and why. Thanks!

Cute papers Linda. I thin I like the first one best... and I think it must be the way the rocket is positioned. flying right up above the sentiment... as if you are sending your smooches via rocket :)
ReplyDeleteI like both cards. On the first one, your eye is led from the left to the rocket ship and sentiment. The second has that great green background paper that echoes your top strip of blue. Both cards are great.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....If I had to choose, I would go with the second one. I don't know why, other than that it seems "cleaner" and that's the way my brain works. (If you saw my office/craft room right now you'd say I'm crazy!) I'm thinking the stars in the paper work to make it birthday card and thus work well with the sentiment. The first one is fine too, though I have trouble reconciling the sentiment with the papers. Please don't take offense....I have boys and if I put "smooches" on a card with rockets they would give me a really hard time. LOL That would be way too girly for them. I like Paula's idea of sending the smooches via rocket.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda- I like the top one better- but like the 2nd one as well. I think the horizontal stripes caught my eye in the first one. LOL about Cissy and the smooches being girly! I like the 3 embellishments on your top card too! I think you did great with the sketch as inspiration! fun papers!
