DeeDee's Digis: Blooming Blessings

I was super inspired by a card posted today by Lin at Sending Hugs so I CASE'd it.  I printed the colored image from DeeDee's Digis and used my white pen to create mock white embossing.  What a change the white made to the image.  The jar is a Simple Stories sticker that I drew the stems on with a marker.  Sentiment was made using a Mama Elephant die.

  1. ohhh it does look good with the white outline!! like how you have the sentiment too. very pretty.
Thanks for playing in the Digi of the Month challenge at Deedee's Digis.

  2. I love it, Linda! I'm glad that my card inspired you to try something different - thanks for the compliment! In answer to your question about the background, I can't point you to a specific video, but it's a technique that Shari Carroll uses quite often, or anyone who used distress inks. I think the trick is to use watercolor paper so that the watered-down ink absorbs into the paper.

  3. This is just FABULOUS! I love what you've done with this digi image, and the addition of white to the flowers looks incredible and really kicked this up a notch or two! Well done!

  4. Mock white embossing! Aren't you the clever one! Thanks for sharing it with us at the Deedee's Digis Progressive Challenge this month! kReN@
