OWH Sketch #104

I noticed that Kris mentioned on Facebook that she needed Any Hero Cards so I decided to make a patriotic gender neutral card that would work for one. My bow looks a little wonky...will need to "fluff"it.

Got to go to Michaels this am after brunch(yummy). I held myself back on the dp and embellishments and still spent alot(for my standards)...of course my DH helped contribute to the cost.

  1. I love those papers. I have the same ones and they're my go-to papers for hero cards. I'll be sad when I run out! I think your ribbon treatment is neat- the combination of eyelets and twine works well. Thanks for trying this week's sketch!

  8. Linda I love that plaid DP and your stars. Very clever girl you are - make it a threesome 'cause I'll be borrowing the bow in the eyelets idea too. Never would have thought of it on my own. TFS!

  9. Love the stars and plaid paper. I am a huge fan of plaid paper. I'm weird, but it makes me smile. I also like the way you used the grommets for your bow.

  10. Ohh, I really like the plaid paper and the colors you pulled from it! Also like the use of the eyelets, which I still love but have seemed to become "passe". Great card!

  12. Great card from this week's OWH Sketch The plaid is fabulous and I like the casual, handcrafted look/fell of the star stamp. The string is perfect for a gender neutral design. Terrific work!
