Unfortunately I do not send many Any Hero cards in my boxes; so I took this challenge very seriously. There is a wonderful free digi available to use here: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/2011/04/anyhero-card-sentiment-back-by-popular.html.
I decided that I wanted to make a colorful card so I started with the gold hounds tooth from CTMH that was hiding in my stash. I was digging for a great Thank You and got the idea that I could stamp the base paper in a subway art style. Found the journaling block from some leftovers, colored some chipboard letters and voila' it was done. Clean and Simple! Not as colorful as I had planned when I started, but I am very happy with it. The sun is shining today so I am happy about that as well!
This card is great. I love how you stamped your background on the hounds tooth paper. You did a wonderful job, it actually looks like it was printed that way. All around perfect card.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Donna - it looks like the paper was printed that way. It looks great!! Very nice card!
ReplyDeleteWonderful job on the stamping, the background paper looks great.
ReplyDeleteFantastic background idea and it's perfect for any hero cards. Great job with the challenge! I try to write a couple "any hero" notes for every box of cards I send in to OWH. It doesn't come easily to me but I always find it rewarding after I've done it.
ReplyDeleteGreat DP for this type of card! TFS!
ReplyDeleteOh I like this! Thanks for playing in our Midweek Throwdown challenge at Operation Write Home!
ReplyDeleteLinda, did you see the OWH TV show on Thurs.? In her Extreme Card Makeover segment, Sandy talked about stamping the background paper!! You did a fantastic job; I thought it was printed. I really like your card!
