MWT: Supply Challenge |
Been super busy with my mini living room redo so I got a little behind on the challenges. I used two punches on the first card. I was going to buy some "Candy" but decided that I could make my own using a 5/16" punch, so I purchased that instead. The plus side is I can use coordinating paper (scraps). These punches are also embossed for a little extra texture. I used my inch square to create the border strip. The gorgeous paper is a new pad I could not resist buying.
The second card uses an image I found here:
http://freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com. I tried to softly color in some ink using eyeshadow applicators that you can buy in little packs. They allow a more precise application of ink/chalk. The blue and white went on pretty good...not so sure about the green. I tore the paper mat as I love that look and Paula S does it so well. Every time I see one of her cards it reminds me that I have been wanting to do that. If you loosely hold a ruler you can get a fairly decent straight edge with a deckle look.

MWT: Masculine Challenge |
Simply lovely masculine cards!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Two lovely cards that are great for this challenge. You did a wonderful job with your eye shadow applicator. The torn mat look great. It is also one of my favorite looks. I use it often in scrap booking.
ReplyDeleteI really like both of these - great papers and I like the torn mat, I think it really adds to the vintage appeal.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are great, but I really like the mountains. I will have to remember your tip to use the eye shadow applicator. That is such a good idea! I love the look of your torn mat. I haven't been brave enough to try that yet, but I love the look of yours!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards. Really love the way your frame your images. Outstanding.
