This week's sketch is courtesy of Patricia...Thanks a bunch for a fun one! I decided to go a little patriotic for a nice Dad card. The deadline for Mother's Day is past and the next big deadline is Father's Day. I usually try to avoid specific sentiments that way if I do not make the deadline the cards can still be sent. I traded out the scallops for the red piece of scrap. The plaid/sentiment paper is from K&Co, star is from an All Night Media punch & circle cutter, sentiment by Studio G, and all other from stash.
Great job with this sketch. Some dad will be thrilled. I think plaid is always good for guys.
ReplyDeleteI love the plaid! Also love what you did with the star in the circle and the double ended banner. It's just way cool.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda- I like that you did not use the scallops- makes it a more manly sketch! Plaid is always so comforting to me- like a flannel shirt! I love the star brad and the sentiment- I like how the DAD is larger!
ReplyDeleteVery cute card. I love the paper ribbon.
ReplyDeleteThe colors and patterns work so well together! Well done!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the sketch. I like everything about your card especially the banner embellishment. Excellent Father's Day card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card for Dad! I love the combination of stars with the plaid - very masculine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great masculine card, such to make a lucky Dad happy. Love the plaid paper. Reminds me of some of the shirts my dad used to wear.
ReplyDeleteI love your take on the sketch, especially using stars for the ribbon bow! I love stars! Thanks for sharing your talents!
