WOW!  What a crazy week!  The first card uses an image by http://oddsandsoxlets.co.uk/ that was at one time free.  I was lucky enough to find it using the Free Digital Stamps blog...gotta love all the wonderful work they do!  One of my baby sisters loves sock monkeys so I am saving it for her birthday in August.  As I was looking through my paper stash I ran across one sheet of monkey heads.  I fussy cut them all out to avoid adding to my huge scrap pile ;) .  Created the sentiment using my computer...I "heart" circle sentments, not sure why...  I did pop the bottom part of the face to step it up a bit.  There will be a number of these in the next OWH box.  I usually make one card at a time...hence all the scraps...trying to quit that and make more multiples.

Speaking of boxes...mine went postal earlier this week for the card challenges.

OWH: Sketch #127

What a great sketch...so versatile!  It was my inspiration for both cards...although it might be difficult to tell.  I took lots of creative license as I was excited to get both these images made into cards.  I need to start packing my box to mail to Kris.  I swear it takes twice as long to "stamp" & stuff the cards than it does to actually make them.

OWH MWT Yellow & Blue

The image is from Whoopsy Daisy Designs.  I downloaded it last year so I am not sure that this cutie is still available.  I tried looking but I could not find a link to this image.  Sentiment made using MS Pub.  Thanks for looking!

OWH Sketch #126

My Copics class this last week was on coloring faces and hair.  Our wonderful teacher gave us some images to practice on and this was one of them.  I colored her ears as hair so I added Liquid Pearls as earrings. The "ribbon" had a sentiment that I felt did not work well for a OWH card so I changed it up a bit.

I almost did not use it for this challenge because she is a little wider than the sketch dimensions.  When I realized that she matched the paper that I had started with as my inspiration, I knew it was serendipity (one of my most favorite words...right next to enthralled).  Do you have any favorite words?

Wedding Card

Wanted to share the card I made for today's wedding.  The base paper is silver and boy does it reflect light...but it is so pretty!

OWH MWT: Things with Wings

I just read Sandy's post about today is Flag Day and realized that I have a birthday, wedding and funeral all to make cards for yet this week. Wow!

I was so pumped after seeing Dixie's samples that I decided to make the chair card (even though this one does not technically have wings).  I had saved this image that I found using the Free Digital Stamps blog and it was shared by http://janesdoodles.blogspot.com.  If you really want to make great "guy" card the papers by Huckleberry Pond can be found in a 6x6 pad and I just love it!  I printed a couple chairs, so I could pop the cushion and the pillow.  This card will be giving to my baby bro tomorrow...but more will be on the way for OWH.

My second card was made by scraps back when I was trying to get some of them used up.  I just love that sentiment sticker...I think it is Bo Bunny.

OWH Sketch #125

When I saw this sketch, I knew that I would break out my postage stamp stickers that I look at every once in a while, but have never used. They are 1.5" tall so I had to tweak all the measurements on both cards.  I started this post with only one card...but I decided to go back and make a second (the butterflies).  You see, originally I could not decide which set of stickers to use, so why not use both?  Now I just need to wait for Mr Linky.

Classroom Supplies = Any Hero Card

I found these diecut ribbon shape (32 in a package) at Dollar Tree earlier today and was really inspired to make Any Hero Cards from them.   So I had to share this great find.  The sentiment was made using MS Pub.  These will be great for the Duty Honor Cards Drive.

OWH MWT: Card Shower Card

Sandy gave use some great ideas for our card shower cards and when I think of a cabin it is always with a lake.  I colored the image to be a rising sun.  You know the "every day is a new day and a gift" kinda hopeful thing.  However sometimes I overthink and worry this could be interpreted  as a setting sun.  Sandy also suggested a scripture verse, which I happen to have courtesy of a online Goodwill grab bag purchase.

This image was posted at a perfect time and can be found here:  http://freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com/2012/06/free-vintage-digital-stamp-sun.html.

OWH ODBD: June

This month's ODBD challenge is a SHAPE card.  I flew by on the seat of my pants while making this card...no wonderful template to follow.  It turned out reasonably well.  I am planning on making this into an Any Hero card as I think the sentiment fits perfectly.  This card was a true challenge!!!

We need 50 cards linked up to get a donation to pay for shipping 2 boxes.  May's challenge was met just in the nick of time...I hope we meet the goal much earlier this month.

OWH Sketch #124

What a great sketch!!!  So versatile!

I promised myself that I would break out some new papers that I recently bought for patriotic cards. My reward for working making the scrap pile smaller. Uber yummy!!! The image is from  Free Vintage Digital Stamps and can be found here:  http://freevintagedigistamps.blogspot.com/2012/05/free-vintage-images-red-white-and-blue.html.  I did crop it some to work better with the sketch.  The white border is a sticker that I thought would add a little something.  Enjoy your day!
