OWH President's Day VCMP: Things with Wheels

Welcome to my blog for the OWH President's Day VCMP 2013!  Hope you are having a wonderful time.  The VCMP is my favorite format...a lot of inspiration and super interative.  My DH is a gearhead so one of my suggestions was "Things With Wheels".  My card (loosely based upon OWH Sketch 153) is made using an image from Whimsie Doodles.  Before I printed it out I added the sentiment to the bumper.  It is colored it with Copics Y13, Y15, Y17, C1, C3, C5, T9 & B000. To add a little dimension to the headlights I added clear epoxy circles.  The tire tracks are from CTMH Cruisin'.

Blog Candy Alert:  I have two stamp sets to give away to two random luckies who leave their email address in their comment (the safe way) by Midnight Central Time Friday, February 22, 2013.

I cannot wait to see your wheels...

  15. What a cute card! The black and yellow are such a bold combination and the tire tracks are such a nice touch! Thanks for being a host this weekend. This is a great choice for a challenge and a good opportunity to work on a few masculine cards since most things with wheels work for the guys. :)

  32. I'm away from my craft area this weekend, but am checking in on the VCMP participants and getting such good ideas. What a perfect card for males of any age, and lots of females, too. I give every newborn girl I know a Tonka truck! Every little girl I know likes trucks as much as little boys and they deserve their very own. I love the sentiment on the bumper ala a license plate. The tire track across the center is cute, too. You have defied "clever."
