Thanks Rachel for a great sketch! A while back I had purchased a sticker sheet made by EP (A boy's life) but was having a difficult time making cards from it. Recently, I was able to purchase a couple sheets of coordinating paper which seemed to get my mojo for those stickers flowing. I did not really want to cover up too much of that fun car paper so I went with one of my most favorite embellies which is twine (maybe because the bows are easier to tie?) I better get back to the hop...I just needed a little break.
Very fun card! I love the addition of twine, especially how you knotted it instead of making a bow. This would be a wonderful card for a teenage boy. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThis sketch is perfect for that sticker Linda and the papers are a great choice too. It's true that once you have the right elements a card often comes together easily. I love how you tied that know and will be CASEing that for sure!
ReplyDeleteGreat card. I have cards to make for 2 grandsons and your card would certainly work for them. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteVery nice selection of papers...perfect for the sticker.
ReplyDeleteYou've made a great "guy" card. I love the knot you tied in the twine!
ReplyDeleteVery created. Love how you used the string as a part of the sketch piece.
ReplyDeleteThe knot! Love your idea for the knot! Really a nice masculine card - TFS! ~ Marilyn
ReplyDeleteLove that twine application! Great card. Lori
ReplyDeleteReally nice card!
ReplyDeleteA lot going on in that card. Great for busy "boys"
ReplyDeleteGrand take on the sketch!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great card, it's different from the plain red, white, and blue theme so many of the cards have. Thank you for sharing your artwork.

I like your twine! I didn't think of using that in place of the strip; great idea!
ReplyDeleteAGHhhhh, I never thought to use twine, and I love how you attached the little piece hanging off the side! Great rock card!!
